Color Blind

I've heard that many men suffer from being color blind. I'm not color blind myself, but I've always been curious as to what its like.

Is anyone colorblind?

Whats it like?

Were you ever able to see colors in the past?

I have the color blind gene from my dad, and I guess technically I'm color blind, but it's never been a problem for me. They had me do that dot test, where you have to tell them what the number in the circle full of dots is, and I failed it. However, they never told me what sort of color blindness I have or anything, so yeah. XD

It's really not a problem; I just can't pick out lighter/brighter from darker/duller, or put colors in order according to hues.

I think I'm slightly color blind in some way. I have a real hard time telling the difference between some shades of purple and blue. Is this color blindness?

I have no problems with color blindness. I can see light/dark, deep and vibrant, light and intense. I can see it all, but I do have extremely light sensitive eyes, due to the fact that my lens are too big, and my corneas are too thin.

I'm sorry for those who struggle with colors and blindness of which, I just can't relate.

Color blindness is extremely rare. Even when people tell me they have it, it's not really the truth. It's an exaggeration of not being able to tell the difference at one moment. It's probably used as much as a pun as it is actually the case in people. Which in either example is very rare.

What I wonder is what actually causes color blindness or what effect it has on the eyes to make it occur.
