I AM the one who created all things.
I AM the one who loves you unconditionally.
I AM the one whom countless times has saved your life, even at times when you didn't notice that it was me.
I AM the one who rescued you from your enemies and from those who have persecuted you.
I AM the one who allowed you to be persecuted at times for your unrighteousness.
I AM the one who gave my only begotten son up as a sacrifice to die for all of your sins.
I AM the one who gives you many blessings to which some of you are thankful and appreciative for and give the glory back to me, while others do not honor me, thank me, and even worse, abandon me for the trivial earthly things that you have been given.
I AM the one who allows you some knowledge of how things are made through science, a tool of my creations, and you turn my very gift to you back upon me in an attempt to disprove my existence.
Thousands of years later the questions still come up, how do we get to Heaven? Where is the way? How will we know where to go?
I AM the way.
All of you will experience suffering and plight as well as joy and happiness. My sun and my rain fall on you all, both the wicked and the righteous. Sometimes in your life you'll call me your worst enemy, and sometimes you'll think I'm your best friend. One thing is for certain though . . .
I AM the beginning and I AM the end.
We all have to deal with anger on a daily basis, it's almost what we would consider a secondary trait or characteristic of ourselves. It's not that we would expect other's to be better in handling this emotion, because that will never happen. The reality is we all fail each other in moments of anger. I define moments of anger as moments where we lose control.
I get scared to think when I imagine myself sometimes or my ex's in fit's of rage as I've seen them, and wonder what get's them to this point. Attaching that thought to World leaders, I mean at what point does it end? Do they not feel the same emotions that I do? If so, what will stop the nuclear arms race across the World, and all of you know it hasn't stopped. Come on, why would any country give up advantage to another?
I guess I would ask all of you why do you follow any specific countries policies even if they include the concept of nuclear war when you know outright that you will be a statistical tragedy? What glory is given to any of you from pauper to prince, to king to president when your body is incinerated in fiery hell of a nuclear blast?
Do you honestly think that the Lord your God will save you because your a Senator or member of the States? If you think that you are saved by your title on this Earth, than you have forgotten Jesus and what he died for, and sadly you are mistaken.
Anger is within us all, and it's something we need to control on a regular basis, if we let it get out of control than we are out of control, and the results are produced by the effect. I would suggest everyone to Disarm, as you never know when your time is due, and to start global nuclear war seems a tad absurd to me, for what will any of you humans have left after that?
Can any of you, whether King, President, or homeless, stand before God?
1 Timothy 1:17
"17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."
Hey, did you know that spring has sprung? Well, I did. It happened on March 20th.
I know that in my area it has definitely gotten a lot warmer and I am not liking it. It is too early for it to be this warm. It was in the 80's and 90's this week and last week. I just don't like it because if it is this hot now, I don't even want to imagine how hot it is going to be in July or August. Now, I am not saying that I am a weather fanatic. In fact, I really don't watch the weather all that much, I get the most important updates from my stepdad or mom.
So, back to spring. To me, spring means warm sunny days and ice cream. Flowers, and of course, allergies. I love to watch the actual changes that occur. Everything brown turns green and everything seems to come back to life from its dormant state during the winter. And of course, there is a yellow film on everything in sight. If you're not from Georgia, that means pollen...and it is everywhere. So don't bother washing your car for a while. Just enjoy your new, thankfully temporary, car color.
If you haven't already experienced any of this, it should be heading your way. So keep a look out for shorts and sandals, tank tops and flip flops, and of course the occasional absurdly sunburned friend, which you can poke and laugh at. Just kidding. You should also expect warmer temperatures during the day accompanied by cool nights.
So put up those bulky winter clothes and bring out the bright colors and sunscreen.
We live in a material-driven world. One of the major complaints we all have is that 'I don't have enough'. No matter how much we get, we always want more. We think that if only we had more, we'd be happy.
The same is true of those who wish to serve God. We may love our Heavenly Father, and want to honour Him; but we constantly tell ourselves that we can serve Him so much better if only He'd give us just that little bit more.
We fail to realise the danger this kind of thinking poses. It breeds discontent, distrust in God, and creates a lack of faith that He knows best, and that He will provide for us; that he has given us all skills, talents and resources to serve one another, and our Lord. We are made unique, in His image.
According to the Bible, Job was one of God's favourites, a blameless man. He was given all manner of blessings from God. Satan however, wanted to claim that Job loved God only for the blessings he received.
Satan was allowed to take everything from Job; his family, his riches, and even his health. Still Job loved the Lord. It was not until the ludicrous advice of his friends that Job questioned God.
God's reply was that He does not have to justify His ways to us. Whether He blesses us, or takes from us, it is His right; who are we to dictate to Him what we should be given?
Job 40:8
"Would you discredit my justice?
Would you condemn me to justify yourself?"
This may sound unkind to us, but it is not.
We must learn to trust in God and have faith that He will provide, and has provided for is. We must seek God and not possessions. We must stand in righteousness, not wallow in greed. The things of this world shall fade, but what is done for Christ will last forever.
We need to learn to be content and mindful of our place and be humbled.
Romans 9:20-21
"But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?' " 21Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?"
Again, some would use this to claim that God is unjust, that we are slaves to His whim; this is not true. He created us, why shouldn't He have the right to do what He will? However, throughout time we have gotten it into our heads that we know what's best, and we speak as if we are better and wiser than God. I would point out the movie 'Bruce Almighty' as a good example of this, and the lesson the character learns is one we need to learn as well.
The very basic, stripped down version of this message, is to warn you, not to give into prideful arrogance and material joys, but to seek the wonder that is God, and to glorify Him in everything that we do.
II Corinthians 4:15-18
15. For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. 16. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 18. While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things, which are not seen, are eternal
We discover things everyday it seems now. Since we are in the Information Era, but there are other and more things yet to discover.
Take this for instance:
Have you ever thought about yourself?
I know, a basic question right. Have you ever really sat down to think it over? Asking yourself questions like:
Do I think kindly of myself?
Do my thoughts linger more on the bad then the good?
Do I reflect on the big picture?
Do I help others out when they are in need?
Am I a good person in heart and spirit?
My point is:
Discovery in ones self is a big issue. We don't often think about it, but I think you can help someone more, if you know how to help yourself. I believe that if you start to understand who you are, you'll start understanding why things are happening around you. It is very humbling to explore ones self
Philippians 4:8
8. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any good virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.
Why can't more people do good with their riches like some of the celebrities out there? We have many who just use their money to buy worldly goods for themselves and some will even go to an extreme to pay more than $500 for a pair of underwear. Can we not use our riches for the poor or for foundations such as animal rights programs? Below is an article of one of the most known singers out there who has done so much for the world. He needs to really be acknowledged and praised. In the bible it says, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38.
In a 1986 interview with Rolling Stone magazine Bono explained that he was motivated to become involved in social and political causes by seeing one of the benefit shows staged by Monty Python's John Cleese and producer Martin Lewis for human rights organization Amnesty International in 1979. "I saw 'The Secret Policeman's Ball' and it became a part of me. It sowed a seed. . . " In 2001 Bono arranged for U2 to videotape a special live performance for that year's Amnesty benefit show. Introducing the performance, Bono referred to The Secret Policeman's Ball as "a mysterious and extraordinary event that certainly changed my life. . . "
Bono and U2 performed on Amnesty's Conspiracy of Hope tour of the United States in 1986 alongside Sting. U2 also performed in the Band Aid and Live Aid projects organized by Bob Geldof. In 1984, Bono sang on the Band Aid single "Do They Know it's Christmas? /Feed the World" (a role that was reprised on the 2004 Band Aid 20 single of the same name). Geldof and Bono later collaborated to organize the 2005 Live 8 project where U2 also performed.
Since 1999, Bono has become increasingly involved in campaigning for third-world debt relief and raising awareness of the plight of Africa including the AIDS pandemic. In the past decade Bono has met with several influential politicians including United States President George W. Bush and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. During a March 2002 visit to the White House, after President Bush unveiled a $5 billion aid package, he accompanied the President for a speech on the White House lawn. He stated, "This is an important first step, and a serious and impressive new level of commitment. This must happen urgently, because this is a crisis." In May of that year, Bono took US Treasury Secretary Paul H. O'Neill on a four-country tour of Africa. In 2005 Bono spoke on CBC Radio alleging Prime Minister Martin was being slow about increasing Canada's foreign aid.
Bono spoke in advance of President Bush at the 54th Annual National Prayer Breakfast, held at the Hilton Washington Hotel on 2 February 2006. In a speech peppered with biblical references, Bono encouraged the care of the social and economically depressed. His comments included a call for an extra 1% "tithe" of the United States' national budget. He brought his Christian views into harmony with other faiths by noting that Christian, Jewish, and Muslim writings all call for the care of the widow, orphan, and stranger. Bono continued by saying much work is left to be done to be a part of God's ongoing purposes.
Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa was established in 2002 by Bono and Bobby Shriver, along with activists from the Jubilee 2000 Drop the Debt Campaign. Some of DATA's goals are to eradicate poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa. DATA encourages Americans to contact senators and other legislators and elected officials to voice their opinions.
In early 2005, Bono, his wife Ali Hewson, and New York-based Irish fashion designer Rogan Gregory launched the socially conscious line EDUN in an attempt to shift the focus in Africa from aid to trade. EDUN's goal is to use factories in Africa, South America, and India that provide fair wages to workers and practice good business ethics to create a business model that will encourage investment in developing nations.
Product Red is an initiative begun by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Bobby Shriver has been announced as the CEO of Product Red, whilst Bono is currently an active public spokesperson for the brand. Product Red is a brand which is licensed to partner companies such as American Express, Apple Computer, Converse, Motorola, The Gap and Giorgio Armani. Each company will create a product with the Product Red logo and a percentage of the profits from the sale of these labeled products will go to the Global Fund.
If I asked every young adult in the world what they thought about sex. What would they say?
What would you say?
Virginity comes to mind. It is an interesting idea. It means so many things to so many people. To some, it means everything, as if it were a part of ones soul. Perish the thought of ever giving it away or have it taken away. It's so sacred, it is believed only marriage has the right and the power to permit its passing. The idea is not that virginity is sacred, but sex. For it is believed that sex is a gift from God Himself; a gift given to human beings so that they can share its wonderful experiences with each other between husband and wife; and any deviation outside of this... abomination?
To others however, the first act of sex has a significance equal to that of the natural occurrence of puberty; when everyone says goodbye to their childhood and grow up to be big little boys and girls; nothing more but another stage of life, a point to pass through in order to continue through life's many stages.
I wonder... at what stage of life were they when they said this? Or are they just trying to excuse themselves like so many others? (Laughing)
Similar excuses are found from those who believe the power of "love" is greater than any marriage. Oh, but how love can strike one blind! It is the very thought of a forever binding marriage that has made man think twice before letting sex be deciding factor to live with the one they presume to love. If only marriage had such power today.
Let the test of time be the judge if you wish to prove your love. Let them live together as husband and wife even if not officially married. But may they never separate. Then will they become the shining example of true love that lasts beyond beauty and beyond sex. For is not love and marriage but the pinnacle of human happiness between man and woman; with sex being God's wedding gift?
Or am I, the lust of the flesh, wrong? The very temptress, the seductress of carnal desires is asking you! Does giving away your body make you happy? How far have you spread yourself amongst the rest of the world? Is a part of you missing? I know very well the answer if I were to ask someone who has had their innocence taken away by force, but what about you that gives it away as if nothing?
Yes, if I asked every young adult what they thought about sex, I wonder what they would say.
Greetings to you all.
I am Mephisto, the Hatred of Mankind, and this is the first of hopefully many Angel Messages, both for me and this site. Though we're not officially open to the world at large as of yet, and that means few of you reading this are not already familiar with the Legion of Angels, that does not mean I will not take this exercise seriously. So I hope to give this a proper beginning.
Perhaps to you, like to myself, it seems odd that we would begin on the subject of hatred. God is about love, about kindness, and forgiveness. Surely love is at the very core of the Christian message, the very beginning of God's plan. Why then should we focus on hatred? Perhaps it is because without hate, love has no meaning. Without pain and suffering, sacrifice is irrelevant. Don't try to kid yourself...as a human being you will know hatred, be it from without or within. More over, as a Christian, you will know hatred the likes of which can only be leveled at the faithful and the throne of God. That is what I'd like to focus on this time is that hatred of God, the Misotheism that runs rampant throughout society.
Some of you will read this and think, "How can this be? How can anyone hate God?" Others of you may read this and think, "So that is the word for what I feel." This is a message that both kinds of people need to hear. For those of you in the first group, do not question that there are those who do not simple dislike God, but hate him and his children. I do not speak metaphorically about the devil, but rather about the people you see every day...at work, out shopping, and driving down the highway. It's easy for people to forget forty seven shot to death in their church. Easy for people to put out of their mind a series of arsons where the only buildings to fall victim are rural churches. You don't want to think about it ever happening to you, you don't want it to be true. You want to think the best about your fellow man. Unfortunately your fellow man may not think the best about you.
It is a disturbing trend, that's easily observed in society, where many will express hatred for God and Gods people simply to fit in. To fit into a culture that promotes tolerance while being intolerant, that thinks the shocking is freedom simply because it IS shocking. Where speculating on Christs relationship with Mary Magdalene, the sexuality of the Apostles, mocking Christians, profaning the cross, and questioning the very divinity of Christ are all one and the same to an entertainment starved populace. It does not serve to foster understanding. Rather it drives a wedge further between the faithful and those who are not. Rather it encourages new hatred stirring beneath the surface.
But THIS is directed to those in the later group, those who do hate God and his children who believe in him and Jesus sacrifice. Though you may think we are alone against your onslaughts, we are never alone. Our lord has told us of the worlds hatred for him and of its hatred of us even before he left it. Even so, we did not forsake him, or the love and salvation he represents, and we will not. We will stand firm against self righteous intolerance. We will stand firm against the hatred of mankind.
Matthew 10: 21-22 "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death." "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."
